WHO'S REALLY IN CHARGE OF OUR TOWN ? THE SELECT BOARD OR YOU ?

Who is in charge of where and how funding is spent in our Town?  It’s supposed to be us voters but Select Board Chairman Joe Trombley doesn’t think so. Mr. Trombley clearly pushed for the spending of money to expand our Highway Department Garage, even after a Warrant Article in 2021 to spend $175,000.00 was overwhelming voted down, 665 to 276.

Now that COVID relief funds have been allocated to our town, rather than using all those funds on what’s really needed…like getting a second well operational, Chairman Trombley pushed for spending money on a “want” rather than the “need” of securing additional sources of water. Not only did our town’s voters in 2021 reject the idea of spending tax money on expanding the Highway Department Garage, so did the Budget Committee.  But along comes taxpayers money, from a different source, and Chairman Trombley chose to ignore a “need” over a “want” and ended up doing exactly opposite than what he and other Selectmen were told NOT TO DO.

In essence OUR Select Board Chairman Trombley SLAPPED US ALL IN THE FACE with HIS ARROGANCE!
